Offer Terms and Disclosures

To be eligible for this offer your Company must: (1) be a member or portfolio company of National Venture Capital Association, Start Up Grind, Inc, Southern California Biomedical Council, Capital Factory, Angel Capital Association, Global Accelerator Network LLC, or Silicon Slopes., (2) apply for the American Express® Corporate Card program or for an eligible Small Business Account between 02/15/2022 and 02/14/2023, and (3) and spend $1,000 (“Threshold Amount”) on eligible purchases in the first 30 days after approval using the Corporate Card program or Small Business Card Account.

In rare instances, your period to spend $1,000 may be shorter than 30 days if there is a delay in receiving your Card. Also, purchases may fall outside of the 30-day period in some cases, such as a delay in merchants submitting transactions to us or if the purchase date differs from the date you made the transaction. (For example, if you buy goods online, the purchase date may be the date the goods are shipped).

Eligible purchases are purchases for goods and services minus returns and other credits. Eligible purchases do NOT include fees or interest charges, purchases of traveler’s checks, purchases or reloading of prepaid cards, purchases of gift cards, person-to-person payments, or purchases of any cash equivalents.

Limit one offer per applicant Company. Offer may not be combined with any other special offer. Offer is not transferable. Offer not available to applicant Companies who currently have an American Express Corporate Card program or business card account.

This welcome offer not available to applicant Companies who have, or have had, an American Express Small Business Card Account or Corporate Card Program. We may also consider the number of American Express Cards you have opened and closed as well as other factors in making a decision on your welcome offer eligibility.

If we in our sole discretion determine that you have engaged in abuse, misuse, or gaming in connection with the welcome offer in any way or that you intend to do so (for example, if you applied for one or more cards to obtain a welcome offer (s) that we did not intend for you; if you cancel or downgrade your account within 12 months after acquiring it; or if you cancel or return purchases you made to meet the Threshold Amount), we may not credit Statement Credit to, we may freeze Statement Credit credited to, or we may take away Statement Credit from your account. We may also cancel this Card account and other Card accounts you may have with us.

American Express reserves the right to modify or revoke offer at any time.

Additional Terms and Disclosures for Corporate Card Program

For eligible new Corporate Card Accounts, a statement credit will be applied to the Central Bill account within 8-12 weeks after the Threshold Amount has been met and the Corporate Card program account bill is paid in full. The Corporate Card program account must not be canceled or past due at the time of fulfillment of this offer.

Eligible purchases made by the Central Bill Account and individual Cards issued on the account under the new Corporate Card program will count towards the Threshold Amount.

Additional Terms and Disclosures for Eligible Small Business Products

Eligible Small Business Card products include American Express® Business Gold, Business Platinum, and Plum Cards.

For eligible new Small Business Card Accounts, a statement credit will be applied to the Basic Card Member account within 8-12 weeks after the Threshold Amount has been met. The account must not be canceled or past due at time of fulfillment of this offer.

Eligible purchases can be made by the Basic Card Member and any Employee Card Members on a single Card Account. Limit one offer per applicant Company.

For Companies that have the American Express® Business Gold or Business Platinum Card, if the Small Business Card Account has a Pay in Full Balance and a Pay Over Time Balance when the statement credit is applied, the statement credit will first be applied to the Pay in Full Balance and any remainder will be applied to the Pay Over Time Balance.
